Creature Community Spotlight:
Hope everyone has been having an awesome start to the new year. Welcome to our first ever Creature Community Spotlight. This is our opportunity to show you all the awesome things that people have been doing with our products in the hobby community! There are literally 100’s of amazing art, tutorials, and reviews that are out there, and we will be doing our best to share them with everyone. If you would like a chance to be featured here please don’t forget to tag your post with #creaturecommunity as it makes it a lot easier for us to find you, and also lets us know that you don’t mind the repost 🙂 If you don’t use social media you can also submit pictures of your work to email@example.com. If you see something amazing out there that you would like to nominate for our Community Spotlight you can let us know through email or on facebook!
This Spotlight has a YouTube focus. 4 very different videos, packed with valuable hobby info, produced by James Wappel, Vince Venturella, Lester Bursley, and Kenny Boucher! We follow this up with an amazing Lord of Malice from Sam Lenz. Check out their videos and pictures and please give your support to these artists with likes and follows.
Lets start with this amazing Lady of Anguish video released by the very talented James Wappel. This is an advanced tutorial and shows every brush stroke, without any cuts to the footage. Almost 3 hours of footage, you can follow each and every step taken. Some amazing blending with our new line of Pro Acryl Paints, and explanation of some of the advanced techniques that these paints help you achieve. Watch as James brings a complex butterfly pattern to life before your eyes. https://youtu.be/jyaCXWRPPdw
Talking of our Monument Pro Acryl Paints there is a very informative review by Vince Venturella. The in depth analysis should answer a lot of questions people might have, and has also been valuable information for us as we move forward with development. Big thanks Vince for taking the time to try out the paints and share his opinions with the community. Perhaps the most asked question in his comments section is how these work through the airbrush? The answer… “they work great through an airbrush” https://youtu.be/_K7KlgVWsZw
Up next we have an extremely gore-ific tutorial for the King of Ruin by Lester Bursley. Done with a very unique daedric armour inspired theme, and dripping with blood, this tutorial breaks down all the techniques you need into a 20 minute video. Everyone should enjoy the beautiful and disgusting results 🙂 https://youtu.be/mRMpcDgx3Kk. If you give this gore tutorial a try on any of our Creature Caster models please share the results with us as we would love to do a follow up post 🙂
Kenny Boucher from Next Level Painting has been supporting Creature Caster with some amazing content right from the beginning. We are excited to share some of his latest work with the King of War. Two tutorials, one focused on Skulls and Dirt basing https://youtu.be/asJre5vq-Xw, and another demonstrating plastic wrap masking technique https://youtu.be/eN0jvI71hrM. Both of these techniques are not only great for the King of War, but super useful for any of your models! Beautiful results, fast and easy techniques! Be sure to check out the rest of his channel for more tutorials featuring our models.
Breaking with YouTube for now we present the Lord of Malice by Sam Lenz. Sam’s smooth highlights and beautiful OSL (Object Source Lighting) techniques give the feeling that your immortal soul is in grave peril! http://samsonminis.blogspot.com/2018/10/finished-lord-of-malice.html Also some work in progress on his Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/p/Bl9D06uH9fI/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet
